1 ½ cups sugar

Mix sugar, margarine, shortening and eggs in a large bowl.
Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt until blended.
Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.
Mix 2 Tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Roll balls in sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
