Beef Stroganoff - Full Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Round, Sirloin or Ground beef package
16 oz Beef Broth
2 Tablespoons Ketchup
2 cloves of garlic(smashed)
1 small onion (carmelized)
1 small can chopped mushrooms
2 cups Sour Cream
3 Tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
Salt & Pepper
4 Tablespoons Butter
Egg Noodles or Rice

Directions:
Slice the steak in thin strips.
Caramelize the onions with garlic. Set aside in a bowl.
Sauté mushrooms in some butter. Add to the onions.

Cook the meat in butter until brown, add onions and mushrooms when the beef is almost done.

Add ¾ of the beef broth, ketchup and Worcestershire.  Simmer on low for 15 minutes. (Hamburger you don’t have to simmer, this is for tenderizing) Add the flour to the remaining beef broth until lumps are gone. Bring steak to a boil and add broth. It will thicken quickly. Remove from the burner and add the sour cream. It is ready to serve over egg noodles or rice.

You can leave the mushrooms on the side if making it for Stephanie.

This is our favorite recipe, I like the rice best, Paul and Amy prefer noodles and Stephanie likes just the rice plain with butter and maybe steak on the side!

Made for Lawry dinner Christmas 2023
